Casa Amanecer Bed & Breakfast in San Ramon is just 45 minutes from the San Jose airport, on the way to Monteverde, the Pacific beaches, La Fortuna and Arenal. We offer our guests local organic coffee, herbal teas, fresh mountain air, and therapeutic massage. We can also help out with your trip itinerary and car rental.
We are an eco-friendly, bed and breakfast, surrounded by rolling hills of shade-grown coffee, sugar cane fields and banana plants. Each room has an incredible view of the mountains to the east.

Owners and former Habitat for Humanity employees Christopher Panzer (USA), Luisa Valdivia (Peru) and their two small children welcome you to their living experiment — enjoying an abundant life while treading lightly on our Earth.
It is our belief that one can live comfortably while at the same time care for our Earth. We at Casa Amanecer are very conscious of our health and our environment. We buy local, organic foods to be lovingly prepared and served to our guests. Biodegradable soaps and cleaning agents from local manufacturer Florex are used. We generate a minimum of waste by buying less packaged products and recycling glass, plastic, paper and metal. And all organic wastes from the kitchen and yard go into our compost station — building our topsoils instead of going to the local landfill.

Located in the western part of the Central Valley, just before the descent into the Pacific tropical lowlands on the Pan-American Highway, Casa Amanecer is on the way to the beautiful Pacific beaches (Samara, Jaco, Manuel Antonio, Tamarindo), hot springs Aguas Zarcas and La Fortuna, Volcan Arenal, San Carlos (and the Nicaraguan border), Zarcero and Monteverde.
Come share a bit of the Panzer Valdivia family's life. Sleep amongst the whispers of mountain breezes, wake up to a hearty, healthy, vegetarian breakfast, listen to some Latin-American music, peruse the extensive book collection and perhaps partake of some early morning yoga to balance your day. We are kid-friendly, so bring the whole family if you'd like. There is a separate play area for children so you can relax, read, write or connect to the internet out on the covered veranda.

We offer you some very good tour options, ranging from one day to two weeks. Our tours are very well planned and paced, and cater to a broad spectrum of interests. These are all-inclusive tours which include:

• Overnights at quality, small hotels and B&Bs
• Meals and refreshments
• Entrance fees and guides where applicable
• A bilingual tour guide for the duration of your journey (upon request)
